My name is Isaac and I am a qualified psychologist, with a degree in Psychology (Universitat de Barcelona) and a Masters in Clinical Psychology (Institut Mensalus). I am also trained in various areas of Mindfulness, including Stress-Reduction, Cognitive Therapy and Self-Compassion, which I completed doing a Post-graduate course (Asociación Española de Mindfulness).
I offer one-to-one and group therapies providing support for adults struggling with emotional difficulties. I have experience dealing with gender-based violence, grief and bereavement, emotional instability, stress and anxiety. I have also led group sessions in stress-reduction at the centre AMALGAMA, resulting in a 45% decrease in anxiety as a group.

WHAT I DO

I base my practise in the reduction of anxiety, dealing with the emotional side of an issue and looking for the inner calm. I consider the individual as a whole, taking into account the body and the mind as one, as they both play a role in managing the issues we face.

Each person and each situation are different, this difference helps guide us towards emotional well-being. I base my work from an humanistic-approach, however, rather than follow one strict theory or perspective I extract tools and ideas from various different approaches which help me take care in each individual.

The Attention

Attention is a powerful tool in aiding the reduction of stress and anxiety. Using Mindfulness and Focusing exercises we can reduce tension and open a space of inner-calm which allows us to get closer to the roots of the issues.

Managing Emotions

Through conscious mind and body exercises a person learns not to let themself be controlled by their thoughts and emotions, but to have control over them no matter what changes in their environment might arise.

Solution-based Therapy

Through personal work along with therapy one gains perspective and widens their view enabling them to explore new visions and to change their perspective. We can use these new perspectives to open up new possibilities.

Transactional Analysis

Relating to an individual´s personality, particularly how this has been shaped by relationships and experiences both past and present, we use these to step further into the “inner world”.
